Thanos Liberopoulos is a cinematographer and director. He was born in 1985 in Athens and studied music and economics at Panteion University. In 2013, he began directing/filming hundreds of music videos for artists across the entire musical spectrum, while also working as a director of photography on television commercials and web series.In 2018, together with Giannis Margetousakis, he founded the production company Kiss the Frog, expanding their activities into concert cinematography and comedy.In the realm of cinema, from 2016 to the present, he has worked as a director of photography on several short films, including:

He has served as director of photography on several episodes of the series “Future Matters” on ERT and he teaches commercial cinematography at SAE and film photography at Film School. Simultaneously, he is completing postgraduate studies in film lighting design at the Hellenic Open University and is a probationary member of the GSC.
In 2019, he directed and filmed the documentary “Dunyam,” while the film “BEAUTY” starring Marissa Triantafyllidou, Konstantina Alexandratou, and Vangelis Evangelinos, which he directed and wrote, premiered at the Drama Festival in 2021 and has traveled to major Greek festivals as well as many abroad). In 2025, his short documentary “Between a Rock and a Hard Place,” which documents the efforts of a small group of children from Afghanistan to stand up against the Taliban regime that had just taken power premiered at Kastelorizo documentary film festival.
Currently he’s shooting the next Christos Pitharas film and two feature documentaries with Dominikos Ignatiou
From 2025 Thanos Liberopoulos is a member of the Greek Film Academy and GSC.
